Miklós Forrai - conductor
President of the International Chamber Choir Competition and of the International Jury:
Aurél Tillai – conductor, Professor Emeritus
Aims of the Chamber Choir Competition
Hungary - owing to Zoltán Kodály - is the homeland of choir music. The competition provides a forum for choirs all over the world to compete with one another, to get to know each others' style, tonality-image, repertoire, and - last but not least - to get acquainted with some prominent pieces of Hungarian musical heritage. Pécs with its mediterranean atmosphere is a city of cultural heritage as well as cultural innovation and owner of the title of the European Capital of Culture in 2010. The renewed squares, buildings and the new concert hall offer great venue for the choir competition which is a worthy celebration of the 200th Anniversary of the Birt of Ferenc Liszt.
